FACTORS OF CORRECTION OF THE PRESSURE, IN FUNCTION OF THE TEMPERATURE
In order to check using conditions according to the temperature of our GIFLEX hoses, you must multiply the correction factor’s value for the working pressure written on TABLES.
TESTING PRESSURE
Testing pressure, (or technical inspection), is carried out on each hose at our plant, before delivering it to the customer or mounting it on the installation.
RADIUS OF CURVATURE
The radius of curvature is the one on wich you can constantly bend the hose, without causing any steel cracking or deforming convolutions.
BEND RADIUS
Band radius has to be respected for all applications needing a static movement while it must be kept for dynamic movements.
TORSION
Never twist flexible hoses, either folded or corrugated ones. In folded hoses, the torsion can produce a localised changing of the diameter while in simple folded hoses it may cause hoses’ unclinching. You’ll have to follow the assembling technical specification for corrugated hoses.
MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION CHECK
Giorgi srl is an ISO 9001 certified company and having PED omologation it always makes checks of materials to assure that quality and specification meet Your needs. Each element can be identified within the plant during the whole production cycle. All our parts are tested by means of a 6 bar pneumatic system or by means of a hydraulic one with a higher pressure (1.5) than the working one. If You need to make higher pressure tests, you’ll have to require them during the your enquiry.
FLUID SPEED
Resonance phenomena caused by fluid speed inside flexible hoses may reduce the hose’s life; it is always worth avoiding them and keeping 5 mt/sec. Dry gas inside flexible hoses without external braids may flow at 30 mt/sec, while it can reach 45 mt/sec. In hoses with braid.
RATED PRESSURE
Rated pressure that is present in technical charts was calculated at room temperature and it has got a safety factor which is four times higher than bursting pressure. |
